Why is Armodafinil the CEO Drug of Choice?
CNN MONEY recently asked this question when they interviewed West Coast entrepreneur Dave Asprey about the increasing popularity of smart drugs and nootropics, including Modafinil (Provigil) and Armodafinil (Nuvigil). Asprey’s company was one of the original inventors of modern cloud computing. (see link below for article and video)
Modafinil is not new. It was developed in the late 1970’s in France and was offered to the public in 1986. Armodafinil was approved in 2007. It is a cleaner and stronger derivative of modafinil. Since then, it has been the drug of choice for Silicone Valley, New York bankers, CEO’s and other successful leaders around the world. Asprey credits awakening agents like Modafinil and Armodafinil, with helping in their success.
So it should not be a surprise that the world’s most well known and important CEO- President Obama, has been using Armodafinil and Modafinil since 2010, according to the presidents physician Captain Jeffrey Kuhlman.
Prescription sales for this class of drugs increased by 73 percent between 2007 and 2011. They went from $832,687,000 in 2007 to $1,440,160,000 in 2011, according to IMS Health. Nearly one and a half billion dollars in 2011!
